In an effort to start the new year off right, I want to begin keeping track of unfinished projects. Unfinished, current projects that is, not unfinished, abandoned projects. Of course, until its yarn has been reclaimed, any abandoned project has the possibility of being returned to current status.
In light of that desire, every Monday I will be sharing an update on my unfinished projects. This will, hopefully, give me motivation and accountability to keep moving forward with them.
As we enter 2016, my list contains four items.
1) Stormy Weather Vest – This is an item I started for myself several months ago. It keeps getting pushed to the back burner to make room for more pressing things. I would like to have it done before spring.
2) Turkey Napkin Rings – These you might recognize as part of my commitment to stitch at least one thing from each new issue I receive in my Crochet World subscription. I wrote about them here. And haven’t made any new progress since.
3) Tic-Tac-Toe Throw – This is a larger project, and while it is very interesting to me, since I have no pressing need for it, it is hard to stay motivated to work on it, given all the other options. I wrote about it here, the same post as the turkeys above. And, again, haven’t made further progress.
4) Graphic Granny Aghan (or, granny hex-a-ghan, as I’ve been calling it) – This one I have been steadily plugging away on. It was always meant to take a long time, because I only work on it during particular times. I currently have 54 out of 60 hexagons finished, 24 of which have the ends woven in. Plus, one pentagon, that will clearly have to be replaced. You can find the beginning of this story here.
So, do you have anything on your current, but unfinished list?
