In December, I started this bowl. Since I vastly underestimated the time requirement to finish it, it wasn’t done by Christmas as I had planned. I finally finished it this past weekend.
It has been sitting on a shelf for the last few days waiting for me to photograph it and send it off to its new home. When I first got it done, I was not completely thrilled with how it turned out. The shape wasn’t exactly what I had pictured. But, the longer it sits there, the more I like it. I’m almost tempted to make another for myself. Almost.
Tell me what you think.
I couldn’t decide which picture I liked better, so you get two.
What I learned: Always add additional time to the estimate when trying a new technique, tapestry crochet requires extra attention to detail to make sure the carried threads remain hidden, and I (still) like working with thread.
By the weekend the bowl will be on its way to its new home, where I hope it will be enjoyed.
