I’m very pleased with how the baby blanket turned out. It looks lovely and I hope that the sweet family it is destined for will like it as much as I do.
There are a couple of things I would do differently if I used this pattern again. I mentioned before that I had a lot of ends to weave in. I decided on two ways to combat that. I might choose to use a different color pattern, one that has multiple rows of the same color before switching. Or, if I wanted to stick with changing the color every row, then I think I will just carry the yarn. The big, fuzzy nature of this yarn would help cover up the carrying.
I particularly like the edging on this design. As, you can see, the next to last round is made by alternating the color with each stitch. I think it makes a beautiful effect.
The giant picots on the last round are a lovely touch and very easy to make. I rarely have anything nice to say about picots, but these were no trouble at all.
I thoroughly enjoyed making this blanket and think it might become a favorite pattern.
